Thanks everyone! Thats is amazing. I live in the City Centre therefore getting to larger supermarkets with clothing departments is a bit difficult but could be done with a taxi ride. Primark is a definite on my list now so thanks very much (as is H&M)! Its funny how many places you forget to look.

Alexnikov, not at all rude! I do have a dress I could wear but feel that shirts/smart and trousers are always the easiest to mix and match and change as well as the washing! There actually is no dress code, in fact when I looked round some people just had casual clothes on but I always prefer to make a good impression - especially during my first few weeks! After all this time lounging around at university I don't own many 'work' clothes apart from my interview dress.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! You have made me feel very welcome.

    :)
  • I know New Look tend to be a bit trendy but I've found lots of smart work tops in there over the years. They often have 'boring' workwear reduced in their online sales too. I really like this shirt which comes in a few colours, but like Alexnikov said, don't be afraid to try other options. How about something like this? Still smart but to me it has a bit more personality than a plain shirt.

I really like M&Co for well cut (affordable!) seperates and occasionally, they have something a bit more frivolous and dressy. M&S online I have veered back to as all their toiletries/cosmetic/household cleaners are cruelty free so you can order clothing etc on the back of household goods....
