Has anyone heard of this company http://wecanbuyhouses.co.uk/ they send a hand written note to my partner who is in the process of selling his flat. I googled the telephone number on the note and it came up with this website.
We met the couple concerned who confused us slightly as they said they could get us the asking price for the flat but could not give us a time frame.
Any ideas?????

The domain is registered to Angela Farrell who is listed as "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service." which is clearly not true.
If I were you I would run a mile and throw the note away.Every generation blames the one before...

I don't see the harm in following up in parallel to your partner's existing sales process.
Just be cautious. Don't pay upfront fees. Read any agreements/contracts VERY carefully before signing. make sure there is no conflict with existing estate agent (does he have a sole agency or sole selling agreement with them?).
If these people are willing to exchange contracts for a good price, then sell to them. If they want fees to introduce you to another buyer (who may or maynot eventually buy at the price you want), or endlessly put off exchange dates, well, walk away.0
