Not very techie but relevant to the thread!
Bought a pack of screen wipes some time back, use them once in a while. The last time the zip type closure wasn't closed properly, with the result that the contents (there must be about 100 tissues) have substantially dried out.
It was a bit of a scrub today!
What is the product most suitable to re-moisten them again - water?

Only if the original liquid was water - which it undoubtedly was not...! The liquid needs to evaporate rapidly, and is probably something like isopropyl alcohol (although the manufacturers of these screen wipes seem rather cagey about disclosing the contents).
It used to be said that Colmans made their profit from the mustard you left on the side of your plate -- this is how the screen-wipe manufacturers make their profit, by the tissues drying out.

I've found the best thing to clean both my desktop and laptop screens is lens cleaner.
You can pick up a small spray from most opticians for about £1. Just use it along with a cloth.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!
