ESA is paid to people unable to work due to disability. He might be able to claim DLA if his dyslexia is severe enough for him to have care and /or mobility needs.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Most definitley yes...many teenagers claim ESA on the grounds of Learning difficulties. Whether this is accepted when going for the Work Capability Asessment is another story.0

Which is your GPs decision ! Many claims to ESA are in paymemt because a person has incap which stops them from doing there regular job...not any job! This is decided at the WCA. Claims where there is learning difficulties, flu, colds, very aches and pains etc are in payment so in theory you can claim with any ailment..your ability to do any type of work is asessed at the WCA.Only if it affects your ability to work.0
