Evidence of value of remoska and heated towel rail

I know there are threads on here which show clever sums about how much less SCs and Remoskas can cost to run, but my OH this week got a CHEQUE from the elec company for £600 because he'd been paying too much on the 'drip feed' over the past year. The only things that were different were the fact that I bought a Remoska about 2 years ago and hardly ever use my big oven now, last year I bought a wonderful Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker, and a heated drying rack from lakeland so hardly ever use the tumble dryer, but other than that we did nothing different. (And that period included the really cold weather this winter.) I think sometimes the vague promise of money-saving isn't very persuasive, but a cheque for £600 really talks to the wallet ! :rotfl:

Wow, that's amazing. It just shows that tiny changes can make such a huge difference.
  • We also had a refund of just under £300 and I put that down to my Remoska use. Must now investigate the pressure cooker and heated dryer. Which size of pressure cooker did you get and was it also from Lakeland?

Yet again - well done you! :T

Was that cheque refund just for a 12 month period? If so, what an amazing saving £50 per month. Your bills must have been huge if you can save that amount per month.
