Well the RV takes a walk some days - the days that it isnt raining LOL
    - but funnily enough I had ferretted out the Low GI Cookbook from the cupboard and will settle on the couch to read it. It will take my mind off the weather..:D
  • Hope all is OK with OH marthada, isn't it absolutely bl**dy unfair that men will (exaGERATING TO MAKE THE POINT HERE -) sort of think about losing weight and lose it, woman go through pure hell and put weight on!! Or is it just me? Mr TM was told to lose weight to stave off the possibility of diabetes. Within WEEKS (!!!) he had shifted loads, to the point where me and DD2 were a little concerned. AND he has kept it off. If I diet I seem to put more on than i started with. I've given up now. Plenty of time to be skinny when you are dead............

    Cue letter:

    "Dear Mother Nature...

I have more trouble than my OH in losing weight. Could it be because hes a man and I'm a woman? How would you like to face a sex discrimination claim for this? Please consider your options carefully and come back to me when you accept that I am to lose weight as fast/easily as my OH.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Yours sincerely

    Upset Mrs of Scotland"
  • Ceridwen, that made me laugh. Thankyou.

My old man eats like a locust who's been locked in a cave for a year, so he has only to adjust his eating to gannet levels to lose weight. Not that he's exactly slim, but it IS annoying...

Not been around much as I couldnt get in my office, then Dgs had the flu - poor little man, and he generously gave it to me and Oh. Gave up on lemsips they just made me worse, so fished a lemon out of the freezer at 6 am and made honey and lemon had it with anti - inflammatories and my sinuses are much better now.

Mardatha how are you and Rv, hope the weather isnt too bad up there, been thinking about you as it gets colder - have you rationed the sweeties?

Just done a huge bake session and am happy now - mince and apple pie, snack bars ( ds was paying a pound a tub for them:eek:) cherry loaf and cupcakes and cooked the rest of the pastry to freeze to go with 'tater hash'.

Dgs is snoring peacefully away on Oh's lap and is off home anytime soon. My Ds is enjoying her new job at Mr M but the organisational skills of her manager are lousy thank goodness her childminder is soooo good and flexible.

Oh big news got a tax rebate owed from when I finished work so Christmas will be better than I thought and will use it as wisely as possible - new knickers for me are a priority - I daren't get run over at the mo:rotfl:

Is your house back to normal now Ginny? Glad the sinuses are better. With the lemon from the freezer - do you freeze them whole or in slices? I love honey and lemon when I've a sore throat and would be great to have some on standby.

Have been watching Edwardian Farm and realised I am not cut out for really old style living at all. Would hate to give up the fridge-freezer, washing machine dishwasher etc ... I am far too soft! Was wondering what would be the last mod-con that others would give up?
