I never ordered but i am now looking to see if this law is true as i have a problem elsewhere and need to know if the law exists, i have googled for ino but cant find anything but to be honest im not sure im searching for the right thing.

DSR's ?.............(vii) The arrangements for delivery or performance of the service, for
example when consumers can expect delivery of the goods or
the service to start. The contract should be performed within 30
days unless the parties agree to a different period. There is more
information on this at paragraph 3.16 under ‘Carrying out the
contract’.
How long do I have to carry out the contract?
3.16 A contract must be carried out within the time limits agreed with the
consumer as stated in your terms and conditions. If no period has
been agreed, the statutory time limit is 30 days from the day after
the day the consumer sends the order to you.
What if I am unable to deliver the goods or start a service in
the time agreed or within the 30 days statutory limit?
3.17 If you cannot meet the 30 day deadline to deliver the goods or
perform the service, you must inform the consumer before the expiry
of the deadline. You and the consumer may agree a revised date
for delivery of the goods or performance of the service. But the
consumer does not have to agree to a revised date. If they do not
agree to a revised date, the contract must be treated as if it had not
been made, apart from any rights that the consumer has under it as
the result of the non-performance.
3.18 If you are unable to meet the deadline and have not agreed an
alternative delivery date with the consumer, you must refund all
money paid in relation to the contract including the postage and
packaging. Please see paragraph 3.49 for information on additional
services that may have been provided under a different contract.
The refund should be made as quickly as possible and within a
maximum of 30 days.0 -
There is no law as otherwise all the shops that take orders then order in furniture etc would not be able to operate.
On ebay they require details on the listing if it is a pre order, but it is still allowed. However they will not extend the buyer protection past the 45 day paypal claim period so buyers need to take care.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've had a run in with a Drop Shipper in the past.
First Class delivery, 1 to 2 days claimed the ad...
3 weeks later and the seller is beligerantly claiming he has done nothing wrong as he posts it First Class as soon as he receives it from his supplier.
I lost the Paypal claim (it was more complicated than just the late delivery)..
I hate drop shippers.0 -

I tend to only use a drop shipper if there is no other choice, but what I really hate is the auctions that pretend they have the goods and only when you've bought do you get the 'my warehouse in Asia will ship this to you in 14-28 days' type of email.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Exactly... In my case above by the seller stating First Class Post 1-2 days in the auction but actually meaning 1-2 days after he receives it.0
