Trouble accessing Outlook Express - password

I am suddenly having trouble accessing my email in Outlook Express. All this time its been ok (ish), in that I can read my emails., however last couple of days when I go to look at my email a message comes up where you have to put in your password. I did this. It made no difference...Now I've have a phone message to say I have been sent an important email to read, what to do....? as it wont let me access it no matter what I do....

Anybody else had this problem?

Don't suppose its connected to the fact I had to download firefox to look at youtube as also suddenly this won't work either you get a black screen with error try later., on OE.......I uninstalled it (firefox)after firefox changed all my documents to firefox and then I couldnt open them in firefox as they were created in internet explorer...???

just slowly going mad..... HEEEELPP!!!

You don't say who your email provider is, but ~most~ allow you to access your email via a browser using a webmail interface.

Have you checked if this option is available and, if so, whether your account and password are accepted there?

Any web browser you install will allow you to access your webmail service.

    Go here:
    http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/emailgateway.php
and follow the directions. If the fault is with Outlook Express this might give you access.

I have now callled 151, virgin media, and they say it is a fault with them, that they have upgraded and it has affected 'some' email accounts, my complaint is logged, which will be fixed in 5-7 days, .....add to this my email name is suddenly not being recognised after about 10+ years with them...jeeez!!!

    Has anybody else experienced this??
