Selling - electrical safety certificate

I'm just in the process of selling a flat. I had a HIP done as it went on the market before they were abolished. I have had some electrical work done since I bought it in 2006 and have a certificate for the work.

What I can't work out is if I need to get an electrician round to "certify" the whole place in order to sell it.

Can anyone advise?

No need to get it certified. You'll need the certificate for any work that has been done but you don't need to do anything else. The buyer's surveyor might recommend an electrical check and the buyer might ask you to pay for it but it is up to you whether you want to or not. Its not something you need to do. But it might be something that helps things along so you could choose to do it anyway...
