Is anyone familiar with RINGGO car parks?

I want to use RINGO for car parking while I am away. I would need a relative to extend my parking fior me while I am away.
Will this work ok? What problems, if any, do people forsee? Does it matter that the mobile phone being used is hundreds of miles away from the actual carpark?

Can you get your answers here? http://www.ringgo.co.uk/"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Yes i have seen the RINGGO site but I cannot tell how it will work out with a relative extending my stay for me while hundreds of miles away. Also does the payment card have to be the same one that paid for the original parking?0

How to extend here:
https://www.myringgo.com/static/howitworks0 -
The first time you call
It will ask:- Your number plate, the colour and make of your vehicle
- The location you're parked in
- How long you want to stay
- Your card details
It will ask you:- To confirm the vehicle you want to park
- To confirm the location
- How long you want to stay
- Your card security code
Simply call RingGo again and it will ask you to:- Say how much longer you want to stay
- Enter your card security code
This is all very well but i want to purchase the original parking time then I need a relative to phone later and extend. This may well cause a problem as a) two different phones will be used b) two different payment cards are involved.
Has anyone else actually done this - how did it go?

Try calling them on 0203 046 0010 and see if you can talk to an actual person0

I have rung this number but you cannot talk to a person on it!
Is no firm able to provide proper customer services these days?0 -
T&Cs
http://www.ringgo.co.uk/legals.html
You are only able to access and pay for parking using our Service if You:
4a) nominate one telephone number which You would like to be linked to Your personal account for use with the Service. The nominated telephone number will act as Your 'User ID' for the purposes of the Service;
So a second phone number is definitely out.
It looks like you register your credit card details with them when you sign up, so someone else does not need to have your card - why not leave your phone with them? - as long as you trust them - you will also need to leave them your Ringgo pin number to access the account.
You need to read the T&Cs on the above page so that you fully understand Ringgo's requirements.
Alternatively, why not take your phone with you and use it once - to call Ringgo?0 -
I had not seen the T & C 's - thanks David.
I cannot do the whole booking because it is for too long a time. It seems the only way is to get my relative to do both the initial transaction and also the extension. Also to do the registration etc on his mobile phone.
Will this work?0 -
Who runs this Ringgo? If it is anything to do with private parking companies I would be very dubious about giving them my card details.0

If this is some sort of motorway service station type parking jobbie and you can drive your car away when you get back, then feel safe to not pay and simply ignore all contact.
Surely all they can sue you for is the losses due to you not paying, which would only be what you were going to pay anyway; iow let them invoice you after the event.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
