Getting a postcode from Rightmove

Simple question really... On the Rightmove website is there anyway to pull off the postcode of the property you are looking at?

Not automatically, as far as I know.

Check in any attached "brochure". Or an old HIP, if still attached.

If they haven't listed the road name, and zooming into the map is inconclusive, try Streetview, it usually mentions the road.

Then, armed with a road name, use www.houseprice.co.uk to look up past sales. You can type any text freeform. Just "acacia avenue surrey" will narrow down to Woking or Shepperton. Put in the village/town to narrow further, if lots of responses. You may see 2 or 3 postcodes per street. If your target house did not sell recently, so is not listed, use the neighbouring numbers to narrow down - usually odds together and evens together.

When you have a probable postcode, type that into normal Rightmove or here http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-value.html and if your target property appears you know you have it right.

It must be in the background of Rightmove, for that to work. Would be nice if Property Bee displayed it.

You can also try googling the street name especially if you can give a house number or roughly what the house number will be. That normally brings up postcode. Even without a house number it brings up part of a postcode.

Typing "road name, town" into the search box in Zoopla, and checking the button for 'sold prices' above it leads to the sale prices for the road, along with all their postcodes.......

We could all ask nicely on their facebook page if they'd consider adding it as a feature :)

It used to be that when you clicked on map the postcode was hidden away in the small print. But it's a different layout now. I usually enter the road name and town in Google for local postcodes.
    Been away for a while.

Actually .... if you click on the big blue button that says 'see more properties like this' it takes you to a page with the postcode on. That's if there is that button on the page. Only seems to be there for some properties.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
