I found although it was painful at first a nice hot shower aimed at the area helped a lot:wink:

I remember all three of mine weaning at different ages, and mine tended to taper off with feeds - favouring the bedtime feed so that was the last one to go.

With mine it was a little different to you because I took the approach of I would let them feed if they wanted but I wouldn't offer if they didn't. So rather than stopping 'cold-turkey', it was more gradual until one day I would realise they just hadn't had a feed for a couple of weeks and that was it, they never asked anymore.

I think this helped avoid the feeling full issue you have so I wonder if that's probably why you have that?

I do remember noticing there was still milk there months later but not in a 'problematic' way IYSWIM?

I was told to put savoy cabbage leaves in the freezer and then put them down your bra. It does help but not sure about it in this hot weather:rotfl:I dont envy you though - I can still remember the pain:o

I'm a bloke, so not really expert at this, but i know enough from when the Mrs did it with ours.

Can i ask........are you saying you were still breast feeding a 2yr old?
If thats the case, do you not see that as seriously weird?

TBH it's not something I would entertain either, but it's not for you or I to call the OP "seriously weird". :p

The World Health Organisation recommends that babies are breastfed until they are 2. OP's baby is just over that so I don't see that as seriously weird.

OP, congratulations on managing to BF for so long!:T I was hoping to get to at least a year but after 9 months of BF and returning to work I don't think I'm going to manage it and stay sane :o!
    Making small changes everyday....
