Laptop repair

Hope this is the right section to ask this.
One of the opening/closing hinges on my laptop broke off the other day as I was closing it. The other one is still in tact and laptop is working ok but I daren't try to close it now as the frame has come away from the screen slightly at the broken end.
Does anyone have any idea if this would be an expensive repair or not. Just to give me a rough idea so I don't get ripped off when I take it in for repair.
Thanks

A lot of spares are available on eBay, what's the make and model no.?
you might find a lid or a case, or and old non-working one with lots of bits missing that you can take the case or lid from.0 -
i've found the people at https://www.laptopbits.co.uk very good and reasonable for repairs .
Worth a call i'd guess.0 -

I wouldn't feel confident tinkering with it myself but appreciate the suggestion
