Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if this is correct.

I started work in March this year and my partner just also started fulltime work. We have been getting working tax cradit from March and i thought i would check on the Entitled to website to see if was was still able to get this or not. It says once i enter our figures in for April 09 to 10 that we will still get Working Tax credit at the amount we do now even if we both working fulltime. Is this correct.

I guest the payments will stop soon. Does working tax credit run from a set date to date each year

I just dont want to keep receiving it if we are not ment to as it will mean an over payment but its strange how the website says we will get it still. We applied for working tax credit from March 2010 this year so will we still get payments until April 2011

Chris

Depends on your income as well as how meny hours you do. If you earn less than 18k joint then you will still qualify

thats not correct really, they could earn 30k this yr and still qualify if 09-10 houshold income was under the threshold.
tax credits are always based on previous yrs income, you are entitled to earn as much as 25k more in the current year without this having any affect on your award.
eg 09-10 income was 8k but 10-11 estimated to be 28k, you would be enititled to working tax credits for 10-11 tax yr based on the previous yrs income, your payments would stop in april when they would then take into account your income for 10-11 tax.
obviously this all depends on you meeting the other qualifying conditions throughout.

Well for April 09 to April 10 we had a total income of £4802 which includes all our temp jobs we had and our contributions based JSA. For this year from April 10 to April 11 we look to both earn between us around 30k with our new jobs so i guest in April 11 this will stop.
