Yeah haha, i use up promotional offers on purchases with cards and then usually dont use them again (wait a few months after it is paid off to close it off though, just incase other lenders one day start to take an in depth look at previous CC management with applications and catch on that i only ever use it for the promotional offer if its not a rewards/cashback card.

(Sometimes i have really had to hold my nose and apply with lenders i couldn't ordinarily stomach, like barclaycard recently.) Just for the promotional offer, grr...
