I don't think anyone would recommend you move to TalkTalk, what with their bringing their charges in line with BT with the 3p connection fee and per-minute billing and questionable customer service.

Get a line installed as per above, pay £9.99 for a month's line rental, then go back to BT and use Primus for evening and weekend calls and 1899 for peak rate UK calls at 3p PER CALL regardless of length.
