I bought some Cuprinol One Coat Timbercare for my fencing which I painted. Then, without reading the tin, I applied to the decking floor. Then I read the tin and realised it was the wrong product.
I called Cuprinol who said I needed to remove it and use the right product but this is dauntinmg and wondefed if anyone has done this and applied the right decking product on the top and how it turned out?

The One Coat will have created a barrier on the decking and will stop any other treatment or protective product from being absorbed into the wood. It will also likely wear off quickly with foot traffic and take off any product applied on top of it, with it.
Looks like you're going to be getting jiggy with some course sandpaper.

That's what Cuprino Tec person said:(
My decking is not the smoothish with grooves but quite rough sawn like fence panels. They suggested a power washer but the area is close to a lot of cream rendered walls? I guess hands and knees with a scrubbing brush then??????0 -
What about getting a plastic sheet like a tarpaulin (B&Q have smallish ones) to portect the cream walls so you can blast the decking as suggested?
You may struggle to remove much with just a scrubbing brush.Herman - MP for all!

Pressure washer on wood -- hmmmm, wouldn't be too keen on that myself, if you are too far away it will do not a lot to remove any stain, if you are too close you will lift up the grain on the wood - this makes it "furry" and leads to moisture trapping in the wood. I would personally just leave it for the summer and then re-treat it at the end of the summer/autumn with the correct product. I'm no expert on this, but i have pressure washed wood in the past, and it doesn't look good!Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0
