disabled parking on ppc car park

Parked with the MIL in a disabled bay today at the local lidl as she has two hip replacements and walking is difficult at the best of times, anyhow muppet comes along....you cant park there you havent got a blue badge...
me - I know !.....
muppet - its illegal to park there without a blue badge....
me - what law am I breaking ? besides the person I am with is disabled (definition of disability : disabled person as someone who has a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his or her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. DDA )
muppet - no blue badge you cant park there, park in the child and parent bay....
me - so you are discriminating against a disabled person then by not allowing them right to use a disabled bay ?
muppet -
me - wheres he gone ? he !!!!!!ed off seems I scuppered him and he didnt know what to do laugh.gif

Anyone registered disabled but not got a blue badge ever gone down the DDA route with a ppc or a council for that matter ?

Expect an invoice soon, file them with the toilet paper :)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

If you get any correspondence, dont acknowledge it, completely ignore it.

The company may be scammers, but lets face it, the man was only doing the job his bosses pay him for. He's
probably not even aware that they have no clout.

    Like I say, ignore it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

By the way im aware of ppc muppets and the bogusness, anyhow just had a reply to an email I sent to them earlier :
    Please see the signage attached

This is private property and contract law applies

There is zero concession for any person using a disabled bay with a valid disabled badge

You should also not be parking in a parent and child bay – although disabled can use the parent and child bay if the disabled bays are full

If you do not have a valid disable badge you should not use any of the designated parking bays

If your Mother needs assistance you should seek advice from customer services who are able to on special occasions give dispensation and assistance

I hope that this has assisted, however if you fail to comply the vehicle will be issued with a parking charge notice and it will remain payable

    Regards

Nice of them to put this tosh in writing.

Why not report them under the DDA for discrimination, go on!
