    this years tc payments will be calculated based on last year's income so it shouldn't make any difference for now - the only thing you'll need to be careful of is ensuring that you've given them your best estimate of income for this year when she goes back to work otherwise you risk being overpaid come april and having to pay it back.

    As I understand it - if your assessment has been based on the previous years income then you can earn that amount + £25k without there being an impact. (and as you say it will be significantly reduced next year) If however your assessment is not based on last years but based on an estimate that you gave them then there is no £25k disregard....Are this years payments based on last years income or an estimate of this years that you have provided?
