I really hope the money hasn't been taken out of someone else's account, because it makes me shudder to think the amount of heartache and financial hardship that would've caused them, with the bank/dealer no doubt falling on the side of the data protection act not saying where the money SHOULD'VE been taken from and making it as difficult as humanly possible for them to get their money back.

OP... put yourself in the position of that potential victim and come back and still question whether it's ok to not own up. That person in worst case scenario could be facing bankruptcy because of what is essentially, pure selfishness?
