alpha combi boiler

Hi
I have an Alpha 240p combi boiler. The hot water is only lukewarm, had an engineer replace a sensor on the boiler which worked for a few hours (very hot water) but now back to lukewarm, he also suggested that it could be the plate exchanger. Has anyone had a similar problem any suggestions

Which sensor did he replace?
It would usually be the primary (ch) one that cause most problems.
Could well be the plate blocked up. Usually on the system side. I would expect this to cause more of a hot/cold/hot/cold, type of fault though.
The most common cause of luke warm water is the diverter valve stuck mid position.
When the HW is used does the large pipe on the keft, under the boiler get warm/hot? If so it definately needs a new diverter valve.0 -
