pink screen

hi my acer aspire 7540 loaded with a pink screen this morning(stuck at this stage),i reloaded in safe mode and done the fix but it didnt tell me what the fault was i havent changed any settings etc and ive done full scans malware etc and no problems at all i was just wondering should it happen again what to do and was wondering if anyone may no why it happened its only 6 months old the comp?:o

    I was wondering if you are colour blind but a quick google shows others have had this with various machines. A very brief trawl through showed lots of guesswork and no definitive solution. I suspect that this thread will join the google results with a similar outcome.

    If it's a one off forget it. You've got 6 months now to find out if it is going to be regular - obviously if it is then it needs to go back otherwise you may end up with a machine that a six year old little girl would love in her bedroom but is otherwise useless.

    pink and red screens are quite common on LCD's. Know it is 95% a screen fault, but do knot know why always red.

    I would love to know the electronic cause too.

    Try to reinstalling your video drivers, may be corrupted.

    I replace about a dozen a week, and haven't seen this yet.

    On old PC monitors using tri-colour (blue/red/yellow) it was a cable fault that stopped the blue, hence the Pinking screen. I guess it's either a cable issue, an lcd controller board fault or dodgy graphics chip (Nvidia is usually the culprit)
