Haven or Park Resorts

Hi,
I am about to book a family holiday for this summer (a little late I know!)
We were looking at Haven's Blue Dolphin site and Park Resorts Cayton Bay. Money's quite tight, but we are taking our children, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me which was best?
I've been to Haven before, which was great but we found that loads of the activities cost a lot extra, so which company is cheaper when you get there?
I'd really appreciate your advice!
Thanks

Went to Cayton Bay a couple of years ago and had an amazing time. It was our first visit to Park Resorts after many years visiting Haven sites - though have never been to Blue Dolphin - and we preferred Cayton Bay without a shadow of a doubt.I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.

I live locally and personally I would prefer Cayton Bay due to the location as you have access to the beach just across the road (however down some steps so no good if you are disabled). The bay down there is beautiful! If you stayed at the Blue Dolphin you would have to get in the car to access the nearest beach (Filey or Cayton Bay) as the site is situated high on the cliffs.0

My family went there years ago.
'tis indeed a beautiful beach.0 -
Have you considered Reighton sands just down the coast? Its a really tidy site and again has direct beach access x0

I live a couple of miles away from Cayton Bay and would recommend it purely for the beach. As locals, we tend to avoid the more well known Scarborough beached and go there instead.0

I've been to Blue Dolphin.
I'd go to Cayton Bay if i were youAutism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -
what about Primrose Valley! This is a bigger site, the pool complexes are great and although there is no direct beach access from the site, you can walk down through "Primrose Valley" to the beach - it is quite steep though!0

Personally i found it too large, there are hundreds of kids there and i found it too busy, especially at the entertainment at night, if you have young kids its so easy to loose them
Just because its bigger does not mean better IMO
Personally i prefer Park Resorts to Haven, Haven seem to try and grab money all the time, they do the conga at night and take them to the photo booth that costs around £7 a picture ! , at least Park Resorts don't charge for pics with the characters, and the Sparky shop is alot cheaper than Haven, the flashing toys are from £1.50 to £30
