Buying from "Drive the Deal"?

Had a good quote from these people, however im a bit concerned with the Warranty/Service situation. Obviously ive used my nearest dealer for a test drive. If i use DtD, if anything need to be done under warranty or the Usual servicing, wont they think "Heres the guy that just used us for a test drive, wasting our time" and not give good service? Anyone had this, thanks.

  • I think the service centres at dealers are usually separated from the sales departments so it shouldn't be a problem.

You could always do what I did and take the Drive the Deal price to some dealers and see what they can do. I had one branch of a franchise saying they wouldn't match but they would offer me more of a discount than they already had whereas another branch of the franchise would match. I got a dealer to beat the broker price and throw in a tank of fuel so it can be done. Having said that I would have been willing to pay a bit more than the broker price in order to have a face to go back to in future.

hi, purchased an audi from this company 5 years ago can recomend, local dealers did not come anywhere near their quote, local servicing not a problem or warranty after all you are paying them for it. Just ordered a new ford from them best my local dealer would do was £1000 more even with haggling. good luck.

Why bid the dealer the price you are willing to pay (ie Drive the deal Price plus perhaps a couple of hundred pounds for the added service you have had).

If they won't match it +/- then so be it. I generally like to give the local guy a chance to get close. But they are normally too painful to deal with.

I bought from Carfile and just had warranty work done on my car. The service department couldn't care less as they would be paid by Mazda warranty. Some smaller dealers restrict loan/courtesy cars to people who have bought from them.
