Well done Milly - I honestly can't see the time when I'll be debt free so I'm really impressed with those that have got there/are getting there

Afternoon all!
I am school free!!! For 8 scary weeks! What will I do with little cash and no-one to do anything with cos they're all in work????
I have a week in Turkey to look forward to on Saturday, my disabled sister is coming to stay for a week later in the month and OH and I are going for a mini break in late August to West Wales but other than that no plans!!! I'm a person that needs to be busy so I'm going to have to dream up some projects - any suggestions?
Today I have already driven a 250 mile round trip to deliver my dog to my mum for his holidays (we swapped him over in a service station on the M50, looked quite dodgy!) - at least she kindly met me part of the way.
It cost £25 in petrol but much cheaper than the kennels and I know he's happy and being well looked after.
For the rest of the day..- Go to have hair cut and coloured - budgeted for but still expensive - done
- Post ebay and amazon sales -done
- Post dad's birthday card - found a stamp in my purse so at least forgetting to give it to mum isn't such a disaster:o done
- Do a bit of pre-holiday ironing later
- All food from stores bought bargain pizza
- Hoover house will do in the morning as not working
- Give dog bowls a good soak and scrub in now
- Have a look in Mr S at wine - done and refunded, see later post
- Get some cash out for weekend whilst in town done
- Check banks and surveys done
- Stay in and watch soaps emmerdale just about to start!
PS well done Milly!!0 -
Yay Milly :j:j:j last bit doesn't go fast enough does it :rotfl:
Afternoon All
I have had a lovely morning working in an orphanage today teaching the staff book-keeping. I only have basic skills, but they think I'm Einstein so we've had a marvellous time teaching each other.Ate weird African food too, a fried cake with processed meat and fish. Sounds as tasty as it was
Another NSD
Though Popeye might complain, tonight we're eating bitsa - lots of different leftovers that make an eclectic mealActually Popeye never really complains.
Had to turn down a mystery shop - one I really like doing too. But 6,000 miles is too far to go to earn £10 :rotfl:
Must do banking
Must catch up on correspondence - especially as internet is back on.
Do 15 mins on the CT
And we're getting to grips with the winter - I can now light a fire, we have blankets on the bed and I bake a lot. Only 4 weeks or so and it'll be getting warmer
Have a great day everyone :A0 -
Booooo!
Just remembered that today is council tax day - poo!
Have paid it online - OH will give me half but it's still a bummer!
Checked budget for July and it still seems doable if I stick to it.0 -
Hello!
Today, I:
-went to work
-went to my new customer for the first time (I'm very nervous!)
-checked online banking
-paid in some money
Still to do:
-1/2h cross-trainer work out
-cooking tea
-preparing Avon catalogues for my round.0 -
Me again - sorry!
Am very pleased with myself for being cheeky in Mr S.
I was given a bottle of wine by school yesterday but its a red wine and I can't drink red. I checked that Mr S sold it and cheekily asked them if I could swap it for something else and they said yes, but before I could the lady gave me the £6.99 in cash back without me asking! Thank you Mr S!
Also, while I was there I got a reduced pizza for tea and one of the on-offer 9 Chunky KitKat packs for £1 - at the till I had a £2.50 Nectar voucher to use and so ended up paying just 50p for the lot! Bargains never happen for me so am well chuffed!!
So all in all got a £6.99 unexpected refund and tea and treats for 50p!! Happy with that! Also, managed to not spend anything else other than budgeted for postage whilst I was in town.
Little triumphs!0 -
Spoke to kids yesterday so won't speak to them for a few days - must phone BT and organise free forgien calls again - phoning France is not cheap unless you've a package.
But Fayjmck! Why don't you use something like this http://www.planet-numbers.co.uk/phone_france.jsp
