Date on contract

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but here I am.
I have lost my tenancy agreement, and am asking my landlord to sign a replacement copy. Should I get her to date it with the actual date when she signs it again or date it back to the original date of when the contract became effective? Or would it be sensible to put something like "as of (original) date, signed (Today's date) on the dated line?
Thanks a lot
