  • On ebay so far I've put hair care samples, mobile phones, a couple of handbags and a book. I've put lots of books and my boyfriend's PS2 games on Amazon and they seem to be going quite well. I'm getting very acquainted wih the local Post Office, been in daily!!!

I'll update my signature later tonight with my weekend sales, and the contents of my copper jar!! Hopefully I've reached the £200 mark.

  • Here goes, my latest. This is all after I have paid postage, fees etc:

    Amazon sales: £110.62
    eBay sales: £98.24
    saving £2 coins: £10
    saving 20p's: £3.20
    saving 5p/2p/1p: £5.93

    GRAND TOTAL 19/09/06 - £227.99

If only those mystery shops could pay a little quicker! I'll have to raid my drawers a bit deeper for more to sell!!

  • Well my house phone is broken  . No amount of tinkering will fix it. The ringer is bust. When you phone it, it doesn't make a sound. Not good when you have family trying to get a hold of you. Will have to replace it today. Not happy.

Don't chuck it before you're sure the new one works. It *might* (unlikely but possible) be the BT master socket instead. Try another phone in.

Thanks for the advice ZTD. I work in telecomms sector have tried all sorts using bits and pieces of advice I have picked up over the years. Will use clubcard points to pay for new phone, shame as wanted them for a treat for me.

  • This is my only bit of good news today... I've hit our £250 target!!

Once postage and fees from Amazon/Paypal have been applied, I've done

    eBay: £146.69
    Amazon: £114.99
    Total: £261.68 :j :j

A little bittersweet though... I was going to throw this at my Halifax Visa. But what did I get through the post from them this morning? An interest rate rise.

    To 24.9% _pale_

I feel like I'm :wall: , I don't understand why any bank needs to charge this much interest.

Because they are money-grabbing ........? Seriously though, congratulations. Shall we keep this going till we all get to £250 as a incentive for the rest of us?

  • Many thanks. All isn't so bad now though, I was so angry I rang them and threatened a balance transfer to my other card (14.9%). They have now reduced it to 13.9%!! So happy.

Good luck everyone else on this challenge, I'll continue to keep eyes on you all!! xx
