A grand total of 10p and a bit of fluff.

Ha Ha ! well done...at least you are winning though!

My camera got sand in it but shhhhh! don't tell Argos that I'm hoping for a free repair. Should be back next week...How often are the cheap ebay days?

I've been thinking about a car boot sale but I reckon bigger profits are made on Ebay. What do you think?
  • I'm hoping to do both.

Car Boots = selling lots of tat for 20p each
EBay = selling more decent tat for £10 at a time (or more!)

I'm even going to throw magazines on a car boot, even if they sell at 10p. Before my LBM i bought loads

    I won't say a thing! :D

I tend to look at ebay for selling the bigger more expensive items. Car boots are great for getting rid of stuff en mass. I did a car boot on sunday and profits wise made about £50 but not going to include it in this challenge. What exactly have you got to sell?

old paperbacks tend to sell well at car boot as well as any make up/smelly stuff. On sunday had someone give me £2 for a half bottle of perfume!

Littlestar1981, Check and see if your textbooks might sell better on Amazon Marketplace. Toiletry sets always sell well at car boots. If you're selling lots of clothes put them on a clothes rail so people can have a proper browse. If you've got any star items (leather or suede jackets even if they're done!) hang them from your boot lid. Handbags sell well too. Sold two of mine on sunday and got more for them than I paid for them (originally bought in a charity shop).

I've got 4 mystery shops scheduled which will mean £34 and I'm debating doing another but not sure if it's worth the £5 fee!

I've listed some books on Amazon but don't expect them to sell as their quite popular! and also I've raided the loft and am putting some stuff on ebay tomorrow including my old ice skates!:o

Got 2 cakes to make also, charging £20 each so will make about £8 profit each :j and got another £20 owed from a cake I did a few weeks back!:T still the balance is £0 right now :o
