Ok, I'm going to take the plunge and buy some straightners! It looks like GHD are the ones to go for. But what is it about them that make them so good? Isn't it all down to user technique? No links in signatures by site rules - Forum Team 20

There is a straightener on Ebay called SHE. Does anyone know what this means. The info says they are equivilant to GHD's, but they are cheaper.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

Just had some delivered from beautysleuth.com. These came with a free mat (it's not very special but it'll work) and free delivery.. turned up a day after I ordered them by standard mail. Good price also, I would recommend this site.0

Currently using straighteners bought on ebay that claim to be as good as ghds but I have my doubts
So planning to ask for ghds for my birthday. I see some of the deals include protecting lotions - are these necessary or is it ok to use ghds on unprotected hair. I don't use anything with my current straighteners and they heat up to the same temp as ghds, and my hair is in good condition.0 -
Jemella were great when something minor went wrong with mine, had them returned quickly too. Everything about GHD is just brilliant.0

If you buy from HQ Hair via either https://www.topcashback.co.uk or https://www.quidco.com you will get 7% cashback. I got mine from there - found a 10% voucher code on this site and then used a cashback site....I think that's the best you can hope for.

Just found this elsewhere - don't know if the code works though
Try https://www.asos.com Code HSBC182106 for 15% off - but first search the two cashback sites I mentioned earlier to see is asos is one of their retailers.

Hi There
Bought a pair of ghds from ebay, thought this was great as they were about £30 cheaper than everyone else. Got them everything was fine left positive feedback. About 2 months later they broke, sent them to ghd for repair and found out that they were fakes!! Now nothing I can do about it, lost the money i'd spent buying them.
Obviously was wary of buying another pair but found this website, www.jasonshankey.co.uk phoned ghd on 01535 651 500 they confirmed that this website was legit. Standard ghds were £91.49 which was really good, ordered at about 2pm on Monday and and I got them at 9.30 the next morning! registered with ghd straight away and they are the real thing! Really pleased with them!!!
