  • So.. any good cheap places to buy them from? HQhair looks the best option, it's annoying that a voucher code just run out. I know gf wants the thick ones

GHD's heat up to 210 degrees. I bought some GHS straightners off ebay a while ago for about £40 they are just as good as GHD's,might be worth having a look on there.

It says 190c on the sites that sell them.

Thats right, GHD lowered the temp from 210 to 190 some time ago

I think that GHDs justify their hefty price tag with their aftersales service. I have been using GHDs for over 5 years now and in that time I have sent them back several times, due to numerous 'minor' faults and have always received a brand new pair in return.

Well worth the initial investment IMO.

  • I've had GHD's in the past and they were great but I lost them in a fire and then got the Remington ones for £30 approx and these are just as good but obviously have a more attractive price.

I have really thick hair that is a pain to straighten but the Remington do the job as well as GHD's.

Where do you buy them from cause it sounds as they have a great after sales service for sending them back if there is a problem?

ghds are the best tried cheaper versions but nothing beats them. on second pair now as the first ones burnt out, but they were 3years old.

You send faulty GHDs, regardless of where you bought them to-:

    Jemella Limited
    PO BOX 147
    Ilkley
    Yorkshire
    LS29 0YL

Send them recorded delivery and place the receipt inside and they should refund the postage cost for you too.

  • I have just bought some babyliss 230's from a catalogue( so with discount cost only £29.98 delivered), they are better than GHDs ive used in the past and i cannot rate them highly enough. As the title suggests they heat up to 230 degrees but i dont need them on that setting and my hair is very wavy and prone to kinks !!
