Sending refund by paypal problem

Has anyone experienced any problems issuing refunds with paypal? I've tried sending one for an item I sold through eBay recently, but when I get to the issue refund page, for some reason there is no 'submit' button. I've included a partial screenshot of this below. It's strange because there is enough money in my account to cover it, I'm verified and it's a premier account, and it's well within the time limit, but I whenever I get to the refund page I have this problem. I even tried it for a random item sold recently, and again I got the to refund page, but there was no submit button, so no way of processing the refund! Any ideas?

you can send the buyer a payment if you go to the top of the screen on your paypal account and click send money,
get the persons email address for paypal which will be on there transaction on your paypal transaction list and send it that way, there is also a section to explain what the money is for, you would type refund

    hope this helps xxxx

Unfortunately that could mean the receiver paying fees.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

It would also mean that the original amount is available for a chargeback regardless of the refund.

The only thing I can think of is that the OP is out of the time limit for a refund, the option is only available for 45 days.

Oh, and one other thought..some countries can not receive paypal they can only send it (Poland is one) so a refund is not possible to those countries.

  • I was within the time limit, and it was a UK buyer so it's really odd I wasn't allowed to do this. In the end I just sent the money the normal way to save the buyer waiting any longer, so I lost the fees
