advertising a property to let

Hi

Having relocated to another area we are trying to rent out our old house. So far we have had a couple of viewings but a very odd setup meant we chose not to let to one of the viewers and the others thought it wasnt suitable for them. Its been a couple of months now and I really dont want to house standing empty. At the moment its advertised with an agent but I wondered if there was anywhere I could advertise it where people who are looking to rent will see it.

Im not in the area of the house so cant post notices locally so im looking for something on the internet.

Thanks

  • There are a number of free websites where anybody can post this type of advertisement just be very careful to vet any potential tenants thoroughly, also you will have to travel to the property to provide access for potential viewers if you are not using an agent (or don't have anybody that you trust to do it for you).

Gumtree, globrix, vivistreet, the classified section of the local newspaper :)

Hope you find suitable tenants soon :)

I'd advertise on those free sites ... but with the agent's details. I'd not get involved/in the middle... but I'd let the agent know I was doing it.

Why don't you either opt for a new letting agent or reduce the rent to make the place more competitive?
