Hi all

working away on a site for someone

I am pretty new to this myself, but said I will get through it, and he has no clue at all, so made a site before so giving his a go.

Quick question

I am using joomla to make his site, and he wants some news section, like an RSS feed enabled. He has a wordpress blog as a test, but I am usnsure how you get the info in the wordpress blog to intergrate into the joomla page?

I have created an rss feed on his site already, but unsure how to get new content to show up on the page automatically?

Is there easier ways than this? I have to admit I have never made rss feeds before, so not too sure on this

appreciate any info!

Mark

Are you trying to get content to appear in joomla based on the rss feed, or to appear on the word press site from the joomla's rss?

    Sorry didnt make myself clear

    I am a little confused ;)

Basically, what he wants to be able to do, is create news/info etc and have it published in joomla itself, similar to how they have on this site:
Down near the bottom where it says "latest news".. perhaps its me barking up the wrong tree and not even needing wordpress, infact I doubt I do.. just wanting something based from Joomla admin panel which will allow something similar to below, but have yet to find it? Maybe its a blog, rather than rss?

Ah right, well no I don't think you need word press. Just make a section then category for the news items. Set up the page for that then use the joomla feeds to make a feed for that section and publish a feed module with that one in it. End result will be he has a page with news items, that people can click and subscribe to an rss feed from.
