The council tax records contain names - if they didn't then you couldn't bill and recover the money. Legally a bill can be issued to 'The Council Tax Payer' but you cant summons a person without having the name.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
I suggest that darling daughter contacts the council, for them to sort this out. If she gave them her new address, they are at fault for not using it, and she should make a formal complaint. If they moved out in May and for the council to have reached teh stage of summonsing her, there's more here than has been explained. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I am fully aware the two are separate, I didn't mention the electoral register. My council tax bill most certainly does have names on it, and it's feasible for you to remove yourself from the electoral roll - I certainly would as it is a risk for identity fraud.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
