How can I burn Quicktime Movies to DVD?

I have some quicktime movie files which were taken on my digital camera and downloaded to my PC.

Is it possible to copy these onto a DVD to either play on my TV or on a another computer.

I want to be able to show these movies to my Dad at the weekend when I visit him and wonder if it is possible to do this, preferably with free software if additional software is needed.

It does the job without the end user having to understand anything about framerates, aspect ratios, video formats or any of the other associated crap that goes with making a DVD that works properly when played back on any television.

Of course if you know of similar software that will do absolutely everything for the end user without them having any knowledge whatsoever of DVD authoring so that it works first time, every time for them - feel free to post the link.

No need to test will ALL formats, just the one for which the OP made a request. :)

I looked at the download for DVD Flick.

My McAfee came back with a "Potentially dangerouse site/spyware" alert.

I do know how you all feel about McAfee but I do use it and worry when I see an alert. Is DVD Flick OK to dwonload? Sure you would have not recommended it if it was a problem. Does it install anything which whilst not dangerous could clog up/ slow down/ generally affect the running of my PC?

    Thanks
