d.l.a. turned down

hi

i have been receiving high rates on both counts for over 15 years

i just get worse all the time and the care i need gets more frequent

just had a medical from atos and had both taken away

the reason letter is just a complete pack of lies

it contradicts every thing on my form

the dr was an absolute disgrace and it wasnt even a medical as such

his assessments are complete guesses and a complete fabrication

he judged i could walk normally for 100 metres by watching me take 5 wobbly steps

so dont anybody tell me this is not a witchhunt by the dss to get people off benefits regardless of if they need it or not

i can assure you i do and now i have to go through that damn appeal system to try to get the money back

sue

I can understand why you are so angry - get your GL24 in asap and start the process. I have read so many horror stories about these doctors, (i havent been fortuante enough to meet one yet myself - so cant comment !) but dont give up - there is a heap of support and info at your fingertips and fight for what you deserve.

I know that wont make you feel better but thinking of you.

Best Wishes from someone rather familiar with the GL24 !! x

You need to get as much evidence as posible. IE, medical letters from your GP, statements from people that help you with your care, etc.

Appeal. I can't remember the numbers but huge numbers succeed on appeal. I'm convinced that they refuse people hoping that a large number wont bother with an appeal. Jut my theory

Also request a copy of his medical which you are entitled to you can then address the specific points along with evidence to back this up.

    Did you submit supporting evidence?

Whatever you think, there is no 'witchhunt', the DM's do not have targets in getting people off benefits. ATOS do make mistakes, and I am sure that with the right evidence, you will be able to sort out your problem through the reconsideration/ appeal process.

The figure is high, but more appeals lose than succeed.

Ask for an oral appeal and not paper.
