Thank yo for all your replies, its appreciated and put our mind at rest, as we did not think ourselves he was "unusual" teeth wise.
We will await our appointment with the orthodontist and see what they say.

Hello, My son is the same and when he was x-rayed it was found that he actually has 5 adult teeth missing - that's why the baby teeth weren't falling out!
The baby teeth can stay there apparently as long as they remain healthy but he may need implants / brace later as teeth tend to get a bit out-of-place.
I imagine he'll be x-rayed to check that all the adult tooth buds are there - yes, wait & see what the orthodontist says x0 -
Like others have said - make sure that they check that adult teeth will come through before they take any out. I'm 29 and still have a few baby teeth and my Dad is 57 and he does too!0

Hi i'm 36 and still have quite a few baby teeth in my mouth, i'm not actually sure whether i have adult teeth behind them, but although small they are fine ....0

I'm 22 and still have lots of baby teeth. My dentist hasn't pulled any as he figures they'll come out when they're ready. I did have a problem where my adult canine teeth were growing in the wrong direction and threatening to push out my front teeth. I had to have an operation to have them removed, so now I'm hoping my baby canines stay in as long as possible!0

Its both my baby canines on the top that i still have:D I'm thinking i may turn into a vampire later in life:cool: Behind one of them the adult tooth is in but just sits behind the baby one. Doesnt cause any problems and dentist is happy to leave it alone. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I'm 34 and still have 2 baby teeth. The dentist said that if I wanted them out it would just be for cosmetic reasons, .. I think I'll just stick with them as they are.0
