is this better??? we have a joint cashminder account with co-op and thats the only joint thing we have his wages get paid into this account, the only time my money is in that account is if i pay it in myself to cover my bills.
Thanks all for your help :T0 -
You need to close the co op account down and open your own account
as if your money goes into the bank it could (not saying it will) be taken towards his BR.
You need to distance yourself from him with linked finances
Also is any of the debt joint?Total Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100 -
Are you both going BR or just your husband?:pB&SC No. 298

hi , its just him going br and all the debt included is in his name only, i have my own stuff i;e catalogues, store cards etc, but i'm not going br he is,
like i said my money will only go in there if i pay it in myself so i just stop paying money in there and pay my bills in cash instead? all the benifit go into a post office card account thats in my name not his.
thanks again0 -
Hi z1oey
You still need to take your name of the co op account - as this could cause complications at a later date.

As it is him going BR, I don`t think you will be able to claim expenses for both your cars on his SOA.:pB&SC No. 298

ok well in that case what about the water bills the gas and electric the rent its all in my name??? but he is the only earner in the house and obviously affects my benifits now as we are married/ living together, i get confused as to where the joint thing stops sorry lol,0 -
The benfits listed is that everything you get?
How they worked it out when I was with my Ex I earned more than him
so my OR worked it out that I had to pay 69% of the bills and he had to pay 31% of the bills
Does you get what I mean?
and then on my SOA it was put his contrubition was the 31%.
So dont list all your benifits just list what you pay to the JOINT bills ie the gas / electric etcTotal Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100 -
yes the benifits listed is all I get, i am at home with my youngest, i suppose about halve or more goes toward the joint stuff an the rest is spent on the kids days out an stuff so do you mean i should put halve the amount of benifits that i actually get?
oh have to add that the child tax credits is joint with my husband but the child benifit is in my name only, thats the only benefits we get0 -
This is how I did it
Make 3 lists
1 - your out goings - car / kids / etc
2 - joint out goings - rents / bills / food / holiday
3 - Oh's out goings - car / kids / etc
so then what you both have left after you own out goings - go to the joint out goings
Then you list on the form - His & joint out goings only and your contribution
Dont want to confuse you but I hope this helpsTotal Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100
