Reputable companies don't remove money from your card until the goods are dispatched.
But this is PC World, the company that knows nothing about pcs.
And Zen I always thought you were just an 'artist' especially with the drunken pointless drivel you spout.0 -
i ordered a wireless controller and games from pc world online over the weekend. yesterday i get an email stating " we have cancelled your order".no reason why they cancelled and so ignorant!
today i get another email stating " your money will get refunded shortly to your account within the next few days.
i cant beleive it . they have cancelled my order with no reason why and taken my money which isnt back in my account as of yet.
im fuming mad. who can i contact to make a serious complaint ( they only supply an 0845 number )as the emails were so basic and abrupt to be honest . disgusting service indeed.i thought once they took your money the deal was legally binding
You lost all credibility at that point, ordering PC equipment from PC world, thats like ordering a chinese takeaway from pizza express.
Pizza express know as much about chinese takeaways as PC world do about PCs :rotfl:0 -

I'm fairly sure that once money is taken the contract is formed. Not that it would do much good for the OP to try to force compliance with the contract, but legally I suspect DSG are on dodgy ground.
It is quite likely that their terms of trading say that a contract is NOT formed until they despatch the goods.Otherwise, what is to stop anyone selling on a "hedge" basis and taking people's money without being able to supply, in the hope that they can get a supply at a low price, to then make a decent profit?
Absolutely nothing, in fact this is basically how quite a few less reputable traders will work.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
And the moralof the story is...?
Avoid DSG, like the plague.0
