However, for customers travelling from airports, we do try to help as much as we can. Under normal circumstances we will try to accommodate you on a later departure, subject to seats being available.

You have obviously not read or understood the paragraph I, and you, have highlighted.

As I have said, I am after help and advice to see if my son can claim this money back. As you have nothing constructive or helpful to add then I suggest you go elsewhere with your negative and unhelpful responses.

If no-one can help, so be it, but don't waste my time or yours. I do not want a debate, I would like help and advice.

    How rude!!! :naughty:

Your son should ring and ask for a refund but expect them to say No.

    There is some advice.

Although I don't know why your son/you didn't ring them before posting this thread.

There were seats available on the later departure as they were all able to be seated.

In that case, point out this (seats were available). But it needs to be a request for a refund, not demanding your rights.

Why was it so much more expensive? Maybe this may have a bearing, and the bus company didn't actually make an extra £351 out of them, as that was the cost of the journey, whereas their tickets only came to £200?

Spiro, thanks for your response. Unfortunately, you are right, the excess will exceed the amount he is claiming.

Pelican, thank you. How did she do this? was it by letter or email?

I will have to check with her.

Knowing her she probably called them up, had a nice 20 minute chat with one of their operators covering 10 different subjects, and then slipped it in as an 'oh, I almost forgot' at the end.

But she could equally have been sending letters.

I try not to do such requests by email as I find companies treat a letter on paper with a bit more respect for whatever reason.

I will probably send a letter, which was my first thought, but I thought I would get some advice from here.

Thank you to all those who have given advice - it is much appreciated.
