Job Interview - Tights or no tights???

Definitely skin coloured and I'd also say definitely tights unless you're 100% comfortable in stockings or hold ups (I'm not since a hold up fell down in a busy street!
)
Shift dress sounds good. Sounds like simple understated jewellery to finish off and make sure shoes are immaculate.
Best of luck!
I have stockings that have the rubbery hold up bit on them and have worn them a few times comfortably. I found that they held best the first time I wore them but maybe I stretched them on further wears lol I'll need to purchase something tomorrow or Friday once I have decided!
I don't wear alot of jewelley to work anyway so I should be fine there!
I have just returned from the shops on my lunch break and have purchased new shoes. Just plain black, not too high in a suedette style but not very noticable (needed for work today anyway, my heel gave in after I never got them re-heeled!)0 -
First of all I do take it you're female (don't sniger you never know), if so sounds fine to me.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

As a receptionist is most often seen from waist upwards you need to make sure no cleavage is on view, hair must be neat and eithershort or up and wisp free if long. Specs if worn must be clean. Earrings, neat and not too big (earrings are the women's equivalent of a tie for a man). Not more than a couple of rings, manicured fingernails.
Tights or stockings are a must, and no sandals. Shoes a colour to complement the dress or suit, (preferably dark). Makeup naturalistic rather than exotic.
Good Luck!0 -
is tights/no tights your main concern for an interview... I mean, is it that big an issue?

I missed where the OP said it was her 'main concern'. :rotfl:
Appearance does matter for an interview though, showing up with bare legs would really put some employers off, as would laddered tights, scuffed shoes, unironed shirts, too short skirts, loads of cleavage, unwashed hair, jeans, last night's dinner on your top etc etc etc.
If you have two equally qualified and experienced people, are you going to pick the one who looks like they made an effort to impress you and look professional or the one who looks like they rolled out of bed and threw on the first thing they saw without any thought?
Especially as this is a receptionist job and 'well presented, clean and smart appearance' is probably on the person spec!
Of course, maybe you were joking and I didn't realise because its half one and I'm going batty from insomnia!0 -
Yes it is late, I didn't mean to come off as rude or anything, a little joke!0
