I hope someone can help me with what is actually just an annoyance... i think, unless there is something more sinister at work!
When i open my pc my home page opens, but twice... two tabs open. I have two google pages.
When i close one down that isnt needed its ok, its gone, BUT If i have two tabs open and want to keep them both open, if i go back to my home page on one tab, they both go back to google (home), so the other tab that i want to keep open, shuts down and reverts to home!. Hope that makes sense to someone and that some lovely person can tell me how to rectify this, its only started happening in the last day.
Many thanks. GB

If IE try
Tools/Internet Options/General/ Settings alongside Tabs/ Tick open only first homepage when IE starts/OK0 -
I'm guessing this is IE8 because I just reproduced it on there and think it is a bug because my FireFox works fine with muliple home pages.
With most browsers you can specify multiple pages as your home page - with IE you'd do this through Tools/Internet Options and specify two pages as your home page using two lines. When I did this on my IE8 it opens two tabs as I'd expect but if I use the second tab to go to a different page then go to the first tab and hit "Home" the second home page overlays the second tab rather than opening a new one.
All you need do is go to Tools/Internet Options and make sure you only have the one home page specified.0 -
Thank you both very much, i went to the internet options and there it was, two google pages set..
i cant understand who on earth would have done that!! :rotfl::rotfl:
