I dont know if im posting this correctly or not!! but was the only way i could find to post a question ,so soz if im in the wrong place.
My question is this,i have just had a visit from a surveyor for am insulations all pre booked, very helpful professional lady, and i can have my loft and walls insulated for under 300 pounds, however i do not want the work done until start of sept as we have holidays ect to pay for,I was told that unfortunately if i did not have the work done within 8 weeks i will lose my grant as it wil be,recorded in my central records thst i declined this grant and would find it difficult to recive another one, this seems very unfair simply because i cannot afford it at the moment, the surveyor was very apologetic but said they where the in structions given to her by the local branch.
Has anyone on here heard of the central records ( cos i cant find them ) or come accross this situation, many thanks and again apologies if i have come to the wrong place, but it is quite upsetting .:(

Seems a bit strange to me TBH.
A lot of people(myself included ) dont have money lying around just in case we need it & would need to save up.
Can you maybe speak to the head office?

STOP. Just before you sign on the dotted line, have you tried the local council? Most of them are doing the same thing for £99 under the warm zone initiative. Ring up and ask to speak to the Sustainability Officer.

If you get it cheaply enough does it matter if you can't return it? You could always resell it Claire....I got a long evening dress for QM2 trip last month for £2.99!!

I've just been looking at glasses online, with a quidco deal I can get two pairs for about £34. My normal ones are fine but I've no idea what I've done with my sunglasses and I really need some. Just a shame that I only need one pair but get two, but I don't know anyone to share the freebie with. I've got to go into town tomorrow so I'll get my prescription from specsavers and order them then.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Claire, have a look on ebay. There are some sellers who will make a dress to your exact mesurements, no idea how much it is though? Also with it being prom season, there may be a few girls selling off their prom dresses on ebay, so you may get a bargain?

Are there any places in Cardiff that 'rent' out dresses for the weekend?

    Afternoon everyone
I feel I must apologise for the rain in Stoke on Trent today, I put a load of towels on to wash this morning before I went to work, so obviously it has to rain so I cant get them dry :(

Claire, with regards to the copyright on those pics and Nathan making cards, I'm sure he'd be ok using them as long as he's not selling them, so to give to family/friends I think it's ok. My sister makes lots of cards and I'm sure she's used some Disney characters for some she's done, and when she used to work for an interior desing company she used to use all the old sample books that were being thrown out. Silly as she is, she never sells her cards despite being told how much she could make from them.

    Hope everyone is well
