Amara - today is my late Dad's birthday, he would have been 82. It is nice that you have somewhere to go to acknowledge the day for your FIL. My dad was cremated so I never really know where to go, so instead I shall open a bottle and raise a glass to him tonight. I know he would've appreciated that!0 -
hello (ladies!) I'm back in the room, thank goodness that's another day over with only 18 more hours till the weekend! Lurleen & hugs for the sad day x

Olive ur post made me chuckle :rotfl:
Triangle thanks but its fine, its life isn't it? work seems to be stressful for a lot of ppl currently and lots of my colleagues are facing redundancy atm so at least I have a job - a few more months and I can afford to take a reduced salary (with the reduction is stress also)
so question I bought top up food shopping, which comes from the household budget, but did not come from my personal wealth (or lack of it if we want to be strictly truthful :rotfl:) so is this a NSD or not???DF as at 30/12/16

Evening all
Lovely to have you back Fay, hope you had a lovely time.
Feeling a bit down in the dumps the last few days, so managing the bare minimum DFW stuff, but at least I'm still doing the important stuff, although I'm not sure buying a bottle of wine on the way home from work counts as DFW-important!
So, today I have:- Checked bank (but haven't updated spreadsheet
)
- Underspent on grocery budget by £3.08, so transferred this as an extra payment to target CC
- Bought lunch in work today, but OH paid for it...it's a false economy though as it all comes from the same pot
- Drew cash from bank for the week and split between various 'pots'
- Dinner from stores
I've booked a couple of days off work in a few weeks and am already counting down the daysas really want a break. Contemplating applying for a new job where I work, but it's fixed term and I'm currently on a permanent contract. Not really sure what to do for the best, but am sooooo fed up where I am  .

Hey chaps
Thanks for the helllos
Just paid the balance on one CC £532.78 and paid £400 off the other to avoid interest. I use them for petrol/food/travel - so its good to remember to pay them or they get a bit silly! And, I def don't want to pay interest. Wages now all gone!
Made most things on my little list but I'm so tired with all this effort - what on earth is wrong with me!!!!!
Also cut some lavender and am drying to make lavender sugar etc
Freeze the first of the tomatoes whole with skins into a box in the freezer - use for making sauce later in the year
Think that's about me!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Hi folks , quite a 'holiday' I'm having.
Spent a few hours with ex MIL to offer sympathy and suppory. ex SIL turned up who I haven't seen in years , very freindly. They want me back in the family fold despite the strains with my ex oh and his new wife. I was very touched.
Then spent a few hours with my Dad who is poorlier than I thought. Paid some of his bills (he will sort it when he's better ) Did what cleaning I could but its in a state. DD walked his dog and we are going back friday with some help to give it a thorough 'bottoming'. Also reported his lack of hot water to the warden who said it will be looked at in 3 hours as he is ill. Not sure how long it has been like that as he doesn't normally let me visit him when he is 'well'.
Seem to have been very busy , but the dfw thing i have done are :- All food from stores
- ordered a few prezzies from la senza sale and used a code for free delivary and got £1.50 through quidco
- Checked grabbit / freebies thread and will buy Sun tommorow for Morrisons voucher - don't normally shop there but £5 is £5
- Checked bank - okish
- panicked again about possible drop in pay
- Entered some comps
- Offered old lawnmower on freegle to nice couple coming later this week - it is in the way
- posted wanted on freegle for some bits for my dad
- posted train ticket on gumtree that i can't get a refund for and filled in feedback survey for train company appropriatley.
- kept in touch with those that count for free
