Morning all!
Last day in school for me - actually feel quite bad now as I gave my time sheet in this morning to get paid and the Head gave me a lovely card and a bottle of wine and said she'd write me a reference if I ever needed one. They've also written to the uni to say how fab I am - think I've been living in a parallel universe to them! However, I do now hold their record for the longest lasting supply teacher at almost 4 weeks - apparently they don't normally last more than a week!
Also have sold a book on Amazon for £12 ish after fees so a good start to the day - it'll all go downhill from here!
Today's list -- Post amazon sale
- Have a NSD
- Brought fridge bits to work for lunch to use them up
- Tea from stores and freezer
- Walk dog for free exercise
- Do a final wash tonight for holiday stuff
- A teeny bit of ironing

Morning All (though it's now afternoon here
):hello:
Nice to see you back Fay - hope the holiday was good?
mmmm Florentines, and virtual ones ontain no calories so perfect for my diet
It's sunny and cold here. And we were entertained by the vuvuzelas blasting in the street following Hollands winlast night. Been without internet for 2 days
and when I phoned to ask why the answer was so very African that I was more amused than frustrated. Basically they were really sorry, they didn't know for sure why, or when it would return, but be assured that they were also suffering lack of internet too, but delivered in such a sincere way how could I complain? :rotfl:
So today I have/will:
make some banana muffins with the over-ripe ones, but freeze them as we already have brownies we're not eating :rotfl:
do on-line banking and check that nothing unbudgeted for has arisen in the UK.....
Lay the fire for this evening - I'm getting good at thisIt is SO cold in the evening, but 20 degrees at lunchtime :undecided
Knit (and unpick at regular intervals) in front of fire this evening, like an old married couple :rotfl:
Do 2 x 12 mins on the CT - I'm getting fitter :j
NSD - car is still in the menders so can't get out really
Cook from meal plan (slow roast lamb shanks, helps warm the kitchen too)
Have a great day everyone :A0 -

Hi everyone - nice to see you back Fay.
I haven't had a NSD, in fact I have had a mini blow-out , but I am pleased that I have nabbed some genuine bargains. Today I:
1) Worked four hours
2) Bought some brand new Converse trainers for £9 down from £45. :j They were this cheap cos the laces are missing - no problem for me - I am now bleaching the laces from my old knackered split pair that are about to go in the bin.
3) I also bought Season 3 boxset of The Tudors as I missed it and have been waiting for it to become cheap enough to buy for ages. I bought it second-hand and it was only £7.
4) Topped up my phone and claimed my 20% reward back plus my O2 surprise.
5) All meals from stores, including cake for pudding that B made in HomeEc today. Clever girl.
6) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc
7) Online surveys x 2
8) Found £3 worth of LVs that I thought I had lost.
9) Bought 27 Kitkat Chunkies for £3, as advised in Martin's e-mail. Now, should I tell everyone else or hide them?
Have a lovely evening, L x0
