Copy of Long Lease

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is somewhere that long leases are stored formally? Ie - my 100 year lease.
I need a copy of mine and can't find it! Just wondered if the land registry or any other body may have lodged copies.
Thanks
KMMR

when you bought your lawyer will have sent you a copy, and depending on how recently you bought, that lawyer may have a copy. where are your deeds.
failing all this, yes, the Land Registry can supply a copy at a fee. Not cheap £12-£24, so give them a callMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0 -
I have them all - but everything is in storage for a few months while I am renovating. I am in a minor minor disagreement with a neighbour over what is 'shared area' (I also own a share of freehold) and hopefully my lease will be a bit more specific about what is leasehold, and what is covered by the freehold.
I'll try the Land Registry tomorrow. £24 could save me a lot of money! Thanks0 -
to be more specific - I hope it is in storage! Could have sworn I bought the lease with me for exactly this situation...0
