  • Hope the mil gets a house soon! Bet its hard having her with you all the time!! I Would find it soo hard!

I am always changing the way I do my banking as havent found the best way yet. We have one main account that all bills come out of and wage goes into and then ive got about 4 different accounts all linked on the online banking which I use for different things and move them around. But i think I need a accont just for bills etc and then a spending account aswell with a different card......Hope you find a way that helps you out.

I have no idea on the amounts of flats the council has here. Have seen a few empty but not sure on how many bedrooms they have.

Well, am sticking to putting less in the kids lunchboxes and they havent seemed to notice the difference. Ds1 seems to be eating a bit more (figured out that he talks whilst the others on his table eats then they go to play when they have finished and ds1 has this thing about eating on his own). Cakes done today as a treat for their boxes. Just trying out new things in place of sandwiches and sausage rolls......................today was pitta pockets so i put ds1's fav tuna savory in it. Not a success at all, took one bite and decided he didnt like the pitta so just scooped out the tuna savory to eat!!!!! ds2 didnt like the pitta bread much either! its cocktail sausages tomorrow with a little tub of red sauce to dip them into.

Have decided not to have any bridesmaids for the wedding, just having my 2 as paigeboys. Not sure i need them and can put the cost of dresses and flowers etc for them towards something else.

  • well, i applied for a second current account for spends, and all the stuff came in OH's name?!?!?!?!?! going into the bank today to a) complain they have got it wrong and b) stick me onto the account as was gonna be a joint account anyways.

Dont know bout anywhere else but its feeling alot like july here, not almost october!!!!!! Got one lot of washing out on the line to dry and another load being washed as we speak. Really toying with stripping all the beds to get them washed and line dried as love the smell! (shame they cant bottle the smell, would make a best selling air freshner :rotfl:)

Going to be sorting through the freezers today at some point and going to defrost the one in the house first. It really needs doing as at some point ds2 managed to put ot on fast freeze:eek: so lots of ice to shift.

Really want to re-deocate the house, kitchen and living room were the first rooms to be done when we moved in 5 years ago and showing signs of wearing out (and my friends little one pulled a big piece of wallpaper off in my kitchen) but will have to wait till after the wedding. Gives me plenty of time to research different ideas. Also want a new dining table and chairs.

ooh it is a rollover on the euro tonight and also on the lottery tomorrow........................fingers crossed i have a win, would just like enough to pay off my mortgage, i could fund everything else from what i would save a month!!!! :rotfl:

  • unfortuantly, no win on either of the lotteries, not even close. so still debt busting. :rotfl:

I placed an order last week with approved foods and ordered things that we use alot of so costing us weekly. it arrived today and i doubt we will have to buy the kids any juice for their boxes for at least 2 months!!!!!! hadnt realised i had ordered so many different ones! oh well, saves us pennies. Got £50 worth of stuff (not just juice i may add) and saved a whopping £47 on what it should of been in the shops. Barry-argain.

Weather is turning up here now, has been wet all weekend, but its dry today and very windy so drying my clothes in no time.:D Good job really as my dryer is really on its way out and keeps tripping my eleccy off!

Ds2 started nursery yesterday, and its amazing how lost i feel with having 2 1/2 hours to myself!! on the plus my house has never looked so clean and i can now do all housework needed in half an hour and still have time to sit and enjoy a brew in peace. :)

well you know winter is coming when tv on a sat night is great!!! have strictly, x factor and merlin all back on! was working this weekend so playing catch up with it all, great as i can fast forward through the adverts!!

  • Hello to anyone out there!

I havent been on here for a while so thought i ought to catch up.

My laptop has bust proper style, harddrive decided it couldnt live any longer! cue massive toddler tantrum from me as feel lost without the internet. Then my mum and dad have come to the rescue and have bought me a computer for my birthday! :D it was a big birthday mind you [STRIKE]30[/STRIKE] 21! :rotfl:

We are keeping our head above water with money as the consolidation loan repayments dont start till next month. Really need to watch the pennies though to make sure we stay a float.

Still havent managed to get me onto the second account they put in OH's name wrongly as keep getting told different info when we try. wedding fund is coming along nicely, just keeping our fingers crossed a certain travel agents stays afloat so we dont lose our dream honeymoon!

have pratically finished xmas shopping, and have even sorted a few birthdays around that time as well. just got my sister in law and her brood to buy for. tis very organinsed for me i have to admit!

My 2 boys are now fighting like cat and dog, over everything and nothing!!!!!! hoping its just another phase and not permenant, not sure my head or patience could take it. Anyone have a solution other than supernanny visiting?? Ds2 doesnt respond to threats, asked him to tidy up the other day and he said no. told him i would throw all his toys away if he didnt, so he said ok and fetched me a bin bag out of the cupboard!:rotfl:Ive got no hope really!

Mil is still here. :( thats all i have to say on that before i start ranting!

    how are you all?

  • Hey rags, nice to *see* you! :p

I know how you feel with the travel agent, TC by any chance?! that's who we've booked with for Florida in September, things looking ok at the moment though...

I'm sure the boys is just a normal sibling situation, me and my sister would go through phases of loving and then hating each other for not particular reason other than rubbing each other up the wrong way! Sorry that's not very helpful is it?! :p

Sorry that MIL is still with you, no chance of that changing any time soon?

Good that you are nearly done with xmas though, me too!

  • Hello, can you believe its xmas next weekend?!?!?!?!

Well, have took my head out of the sand today to total how much debt i have, and have got no where in the last few years although its now not spread across as many people so guessing i will save on the interest. Have decided one problem i have is throwing everything at trying to clear the debt which usually results in going into the overdraft when i get an unexpected bill. So this time will be different. Will pay the minimums off with direct debits and use the account i have now for the wedding fund to stash cash away to overpay. This way i can pay big amounts off but still have the money there if needed to stop us hitting the overdraft wall.
Its gutting me a little that i cant start really till july but guessing it gives me time to get mine and OH's head into again.

Getting good on finding cheap puddings for the kids, just need to work on main meals now (although they do love the bacon pie in the thrifty book) Really need to check whats in the big freezer and then defrost my little one as cant fit much in now due to the ice.

My other plan is to stay out of the supermarkets unless doing the weekly shopping! i can easily spend hundreds over the month with "browsing" and buying food i think is a bargain!!! Already saving money getting the kids drinks and box stuff from A.Foods so dont really need any bargains unless it has a yellow sticker on it.

Another thing i have to work on is OH's spending in the garages! He manages to curb it for about 2 weeks then they start to creep in again. I did get him a travel kettle for his truck, but he plugged it into the wrong volt thing and blew it up! Need to try and get him to sort his stuff out the evening before as he always says he will do it when he gets up, but not even i could do it at 3am!

Any other ideas?? really want to be better with my money, im 30 now so should be able to be responsible, right?!?!
