Question on end of 6 month tenancy

We have recently moved into a property which is managed by the landlord but Your Move deal with the contract and the money.
We have a 6 month contract and i was just wondering what to do when it finishes. We would like to stay here as long as the landlord doesn't decide to sell.
There is nothing in the agreement that states what will happen if we wish to carry on living here, but when we gave them our deposit there was a piece of paper with all the fees on and they want to charge £115 to re new the tenancy.
Can we just go onto a rolling contract if the land lord agrees even though there is nothing written in the agreement about this? I don't want to pay £115 just to sign a piece of paper. They are useless and our landloard isn't 100% on his rights etc.
Thanks in advance

Google 'statutory periodic'. Essntially, if you sty 1 day beyond your tenancy, it continues on the same terms, but with 1 months notice from you and 2 from the LL, to end on the last day of a rental period.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I thought so, was just making sure. So nothing has to be drawn up and neither us or the landlord needs to pay the agent anything. We just chug along as we are?0

Correct.
Of course the LL and/or agent might put pressure on you to sign another 6 or 12 month contract (woth fees for doing so).
And although you can refuse, or just ignore the contract, and go onto a periodic contract automatically, the LL might decide to give you notice (2 months needed).
However if you are otherwise a good tenant, he's unlikely to do so as he then has the hastle of finding a new one, probobly agency fees for finding one, and probobly a void with no rent between tenants.0
