    AVAST
    AVG
    AVIRA

All have free editions for home use.

I'm using Avast at the moment and it seems good.

I used to use AVG but it missed a recent virus and I had to do a bit of work on the computer to clean it. I now use Avast and it detected the virus that AVG missed.

Comodo is a combined firewall and antivirus and it's free - it has a couple of compatibility issues (one I know of is Cyberlink Power DVD9) but other than that it seems good too. I use Avast on the laptop due to having Cyberlink Power DVD on it and Comodo on the desktop
