we've just started using this web site at school for setting the occasional homework and for pupils to revise from. They're giving a 14 day free trial and then for a years subscription it's about £100 for an individual. The site sets and marks the work done by the child, so for parents not as familiar with how things are being taught at school it can help with that.
"FAO Parent/Guardian
All 28 of our online courses for SATs, GCSE and A Level are available for a single subscription that covers up to five Learners at a time. Each course was carefully prepared by professional examiners to provide the most comprehensive e-learning available and ensure exam success."http://www.samlearning.com/SAH/HomeSubscribe
I think you have to sign up with a credit/debit card and then cancel within 14 days to not lose any money, but it's a lot cheaper than a home tutor.
Thousands of schools are now subscribed to it... have a look.

Gosh
Did not realise that was the cost. I guess I am lucky childrens school subscribes and all children receive user namer and password to access site. They also monitor who uses site and for how long, prizes etc award on this basis.
As a dedicated M/S I will make sure we get full use of this site
regards
Elaine
